Jarod Clark, Founder and President of Unleaded Software Inc., received his MBA degree Dec. 17, 2016 from the Business School at the University of Colorado Denver.

While studies confirm that most MBA grads flock to traditional corporate jobs in finance and management, Clark intends to put his MBA to use at Unleaded Software Inc. which he founded when he was a 9th grade student at Kent Denver School. He went on to graduate from Colgate University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in computer sciences.

“After diving into business at a young age, the MBA program was an opportunity for me to gain exposure to the diverse business ecosystem. This traditional business toolkit—my MBA—will help me dive into a customer’s business and be equipped to make the best recommendations to them,” Clark said.

Clark met Andrew Klein, Unleaded’s VP | Partner | Creative Director, at Colgate, where the two pledged the Beta House. Klein hailed from Buffalo, NY, and had a desire to move west to Denver. The business has grown from just the two of them to a team of 18 in Denver and 5 in Ahmedabad, India, where Unleaded formed a satellite office four years ago.

Clark says his real reason to get his MBA was so that he could add a title after his name to replace the name he legally shed as a teenager. “After shortening my name from 4 words to 3, this was a way to win one back,” Clark joked.
